My room was very clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and smelled wonderful. I was skeptical because you can clearly see the place is undergoing renovations and some of the furnishings look well used. Staff was friendly and helpful. For the cost, this was a great deal.

I want to start this review by saying I was very pleased they gave me our regular rate since prices were higher due to VT starting back up and rooms were scarce. We stay here frequently and the rate is very fair. I truly appreciate that. The front desk clerk was very polite and accomidating too. Here's where I have to state my disappointment with the room. The deadbolt wouldn't work, the towels were pretty dingy, the floors were filthy, and I mean filthy, and that's being polite. My socks were black and covered in hair within 5 minutes. I realize you can't get every single hair, but this is beyond a few. Hair all over the bathroom floor, walls, toilet, just everywhere. The door had a huge gap at the bottom. The AC filters were so dirty I'm surprised it didn't burn up. I pulled them out and they were literally plugged up so no air could pass through. Dirtiest ones I've seen in awhile and I stay in a different hotel almost nightly for months at a time and I check them all. I realize everyone has an off day, but this room was beyond needing a good deep cleaning. I'm not saying I won't return, I'd just like to see the housekeeping held to a higher standard.

The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good. But the room had a bunch of flies and the TV only had one HDMI port. My boyfriend and I had to keep unplugging my Roku box to hook up his DVD player and vice versa. Also the pool was freezing. He couldn't even get in it it was so cold. I got in but it was too cold for me to stay in long.

Great stay. Older building with some updates would capture the history of the aesthetics. Had a beautiful entrance way. Right at everything in Colonial Williamsburg.
