The Virginia Tech Wind Ensemble, the university's premier auditioned wind band, is recognized for its outstanding musicianship and artistic excellence. The ensemble rehearses three times each week, presents multiple concerts on campus each semester, and performs regularly throughout the state and region. Its distinguished performance history includes appearances at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in 2011 and Carnegie Hall in 2013 and 2017. The Virginia Tech Symphony Band brings together talented student musicians from across the university. Open to all students through audition each semester, the ensemble performs a wide range of repertoire, from traditional wind band classics to contemporary works by today's leading composers.

Visitors to the Blacksburg campus Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. - 10 p.m. will need to display a parking permit, utilize the ParkMobile app, pay the daily charge for a pass, or pay for parking using an hourly meter. A range of parking options can be found here.

All campus parking, including along Alumni Mall, requires a parking permit from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., unless otherwise noted by signage.
