Tony Huddleston Trout Rodeo

Check-in and same-day registrations are from Noon to 2 p.m. Pre-registration is available now until Oct. 9 at 5 p.m. A snackle box and event towel will be given to the first 100 pre-registered participants.

The fishing tournament will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and each child will be allowed to catch up to four fish. Awards, giveaways, and raffles will take place once fishing has ended.

Rodeo Rules:
- Children must be between the ages of 4-15
- The upper pond is the only pond that will be permitted for fishing during the Rodeo.
- No minnows, crawfish or frogs will be permitted to be used as bait. Other bait like worms, crickets, PowerBaits, etc. are allowed.
- Participants are allowed to keep four fish. All trout caught must be kept. Other species can be released but will not be weighed.
- One fishing pole per child.
- You may weigh fish at any time after the Rodeo begins.
- Place all trash in designated trash receptacles to help keep the facility clean.
- No alcoholic beverages are permitted.
-Do not clean fish on premises.

All rules and regulations set by the Christiansburg Parks and Recreation Department and the VA Department of Wildlife Resources must be followed in order to participate.
