We entered the Red lobster in Christiansburg for late lunch about 1:30. There were several active tables of diners but the restaurant was not exceedingly busy at that time. The wait staff appeared in a timely manner and took our order. We were told that those delicious biscuits were were in the oven and were coming soon which helped our appetite. We both ordered the weekday shrimp platter, which included shrimp scampi, alfredo and popcorn shrimp along with Chesapeake fries. After a long 25-30 minutes, we finally received our food. That seemed like a long wait for a restaurant that was not at all busy. The Alfredo was my favorite dish, as it was rich, cheesy and very tasty. The shrimp in my scampi was overcooked, and after one bite I noticed a chunk out of the ceramic dish. I brought this to the attention of the server and she immediately replaced the order. All of the food was hot and tasty, but very rich leading to some taste fatigue. I had requested my fries have no Chesapeake seasoning and they arrived without as ordered. The cheesy garlic biscuits were a real standout, soft in the middle and a little bit crunchy on the outside. Overall the food was good and hot, the service was below average for a restaurant that's not so busy, and the atmosphere was also average. 6/19/26 We drove from Roanoke to this Red Lonster location in Christiansburg bc we both miss a decent seafood restaurant in Roanoke. We arrived in time for the lunch specials, but the prices did not seem to be reduced any. We both chose the Sailor Sampler which includes Flounder, Fried Popcorn Shrimp and Shrimp Scampi. I got a baked potato and my dining partner got a salad as a side. We were seated immediately, and a waitstaff appeared very soon with the garlic biscuits. I thought the biscuits were very salty, but I don't regularly add salt to my food, so they might have been the regular level. When ordering, my dining friend ordered Italian dressing for the salad, but was informed that RL did not carry Italian, but had creamy Ceasar dressing, and she agreed. When eating the salad she reported the dressing was VERY acidic, with an overwhelming lemon taste. She did not finish her salad due to the dressing. Our food arrived in a timely manner, and looked fresh. I ordered the flounder broiled and it contained a seasoning not exactly to my liking, but I was able to remove most of it. The larger pieces of the popcorn shrimp were delicious, but smaller pieces were little hard breaded rocks, impossible to eat with no flavor except breading. The Shrimp Scampi was delicious and served with a lemon wedge. The baked potato was tasty and fluffy, with sour cream. The restaurant was about half filled and the atmosphere had dark lighting, and was quiet. The service was outstanding, with occasional checks to inquire about our needs. The beverages were cold and refreshing. We both decided we would not be driving this far for seafood again soon, but we both left with enough leftovers for another meal, due to the ample portions.

My first experience with a Red Lobster! The cheddar bay biscuits were as good as the hype. Amazing food and great service from Lexie. Will definitely be back when I can!

Tiara was a very sweet waitress she was very attentive to me and she was very polite. My food was hot and that’s a big plus will be recommending my coworkers to Red Lobster and asking for Tiara is available to serve them to.

We had a wonderful experience at Red Lobster, and Zaya made it even better. She was welcoming, attentive, and always quick to help with anything we needed. She kept everything running smoothly and made us feel well taken care of from start to finish. It's clear she genuinely cares about providing great service. My Crab made your way and my husband's shrimp your way were both absolutely fantastic. Even though it was late, everything was cooked perfectly and very fresh. Connor delivered amazing service and was a delight to have as a server. I would definitely recommend this Red lobster, especially if you can get Connor as your server.
