Macado’s is an absolute classic, and their wings are hands-down the best in the Blacksburg/VT area. Perfectly crispy, packed with flavor, and consistently cooked just right — they’re the kind of wings you end up craving again and again. The atmosphere is fun and laid-back, with that nostalgic Macado’s charm that makes it a great hangout spot for students, locals, or anyone passing through. The menu is huge, the portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonable. Service is friendly, food comes out fast, and everything feels reliable — you always know you’re getting a solid meal. If you’re in Blacksburg and want the best wings in town, Macado’s is the spot.

Me and my buddies went here for the 39 cent wing day on Sunday. Came in smelling an amazing smell of cinnamon. I got the 25 Bang Bang boneless. It was good for the price. Server took a while to get to us. Maybe a little understaffed? Cinnamon role was not that great. Overall, I'd recommend this place. Had a good time with good food and good friends. Left a $3 tip because I got it like that.

Atmosphere is good. Uniquely decorated with a little of everything from movie props to autographed guitars and a small arcade. Food was good. Burgers were slightly overcooked. Ordered medium and were more like medium well but were very juicy so that made up for it. I had a Boomer Burger and substituted Swiss cheese for nacho cheese and my daughter had the Wild Bill Burger. Both burgers were very good. There on-tap beer menu was rather disappointing. They put the beer ratings on the menu and there was only 1 beer that was rated higher than a 3.9, a 4.1 which was over rated to me. Most of them were between a 3.5 and 3.9. But on the other hand, they were only $3 for happy hour. So it was a win.

Ordered the Ragtime sandwich which is rare roast beef, Swiss, bacon and macado sauce on grilled rye bread. I got roast beef and cheese, no sauce and served on toasted white bread. Not the same. The place was super hot and stuffy and we were seated in a high top around the bar and the bartender who had 1 customer barely addressed us and took forever to get out check. Husband had burger said it was ok. My roast beef was wet like it was steamed and had weird seasoning to it. Grilled rye is so much better than toasted white.
