Derek MorrisFun little stop while in the VA tech area. Attic and basement are not accessible to public so you get 2 floors. First floor has time period furnishings. Second floor is mostly workspace for board members but they were holding different history workshops while I walked through.

Jason HeronGood for a short trip. There are some art installations outside the house and a few indoors as well. The bedroom has interesting information about the family of Alexander Black, and overall I'm glad I stopped in. As of late 2017, the Alexander Black House/Museum is still raising funds to restore the upstairs and downstairs of the home. If you're familiar with the way Monticello is set up and expecting something similar, there's unfortunately only one room restored to that level of detail.
