Me, my wife, daughter, cat n dog stayed for only a night but was well worth the price, payed 192 for room with pet fees breakfast is 9.95 + tax (it's a separate fee) so worth it! She showed up at 830 to have breakfast hot and ready and beautifully presented! I loved that they cooked for us and it was so fresh and delicious! Staff was friendly and accommodating, taking the time to really listen and answer every question we had. She even sent us the website to their other bed and breakfast that's just perfect for our wedding venue! The pool and patio were perfectly lit and the whole space was comfortable and relaxing to our weary bones! 10+ stars if we could! Thank you so much! Attached are pictures of breakfast there is nothing left, even my picky eater at all her food!
Jul 2, 2026 · Google ReviewThe Blacksburg B&B was perfect for our college visit. Communication was excellent and the location is ideal, with an easy walk to trails, downtown restaurants, and campus. Check-in and check-out couldn’t be simpler. There’s no front desk, just enter the last four digits of your registered phone number into the key lock (house and room) and you’re in. We parked right directly by our front door. We stayed two nights in the Dogwood House (Cascade Room) which provided a first-floor, two-bedroom suite with access to a shared living room and kitchen. It worked perfectly for our needs and was pet-friendly, which our dog Junie appreciated. These are older homes, so you may hear footsteps if the two upstairs bedrooms are occupied, but it wasn’t an issue for us. We opted to eat out for breakfast so can’t comment on the paid breakfast, but we did enjoy a fresh pot of coffee from the main house. Most importantly, after reaching our next destination my daughter realized that she had left behind her treasured stuffed animal. Pawel found “Spudge” and priority shipped him back to us. We’re very grateful! I can highly recommend the B&B over a traditional hotel stay and would recommend for anyone visiting Virginia Tech.
Feb 18, 2026 · Google ReviewGreat location near campus and the downtown area. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Clean rooms. Some of the rooms have unique layouts, but that's part of the historic home charm. Everything is keypad access, so no key to remember!
Jul 17, 2026 · Google ReviewHad a great stay - the B&B is so close to the VT campus! Check-in was so easy, and our room was big and very comfortable. The bed was amazing, and the bathroom was new and just perfect. Breakfast by Shelly was really good - everything was great! We will be back!
Mar 23, 2026 · Google ReviewThe place could use some renovations/updates, but the beds are insanely comfortable, and everything was relatively clean. We didn’t have heat in the Dogwood House due to a dead thermostat, so that was an issue with a low in the 30s overnight. The location was superb and parking on-site was easy peasy.
