I love this art supply store! As someone with a Bachelor of Arts, I am thrilled we have a local shop to find high-quality, professional supplies. While I could easily shop online, there is something about walking into a brick and mortar, independent store and hand-selecting what we need, while exploring all the other creative options they offer. In the end, it just plain feels good to support a local business, especially one as wonderful as this. ♥️

So I’m going to share a photo, not to toot my own horn, but to show my wife’s support and to say good things about Jess and her staff. I’m not going to give the two beer story of why I knit and how I got involved in the craft. Briefly though - ever since I read the first Harry Potter book and Harris was knitting a “canary yellow” WIP I thought knitting sounded fun. I knit to keep myself level and to help me manage some of my mental heath issues. I taught my girls to knit so we could have something to do together that wasn’t work. I like making warm things for my family. Knitting keeps me off a screen and is a dopamine hit. Where do Jess and her staff fit in? Well, they welcomed me and helped me feel comfortable. I’m an arborist so I’ve come into the shop less than fresh shall we say, covered in sawdust, sometimes bandaged, and I’ve never felt awkward or like I don’t belong. I’ve gotten pattern help and color help. As a man who knits this kind of welcome is really appreciated. I don’t feel like I’m trespassing. The loops group on Thursday nights is really fun and I’ve enjoyed my times attending. Running a small business is a huge challenge and I’m thankful for NRV Art and Fiber. My wife got me the sticker for my truck. She’s a gem! I got the yarn and needles from Jess and Co to make the hat for my daughter.

Great atmosphere and customer service. Well stocked. Value on prices are average on some items (mediyms) buy very high on others (drawing and paint pads)

I will never love any place as much as I love this shop. The atmosphere is extremely welcoming and loving to all who enter. The employees have become like family to me. They're patient, knowledgeable, and always friendly. The yarn, notions, and fabric they sell are top notch and full of variety. Literally, there's something for everyone. If you're looking to learn a fiber craft, grow as an artist, or just hang out with great people this is the place to do it.
