We had a wonderful three-day stay and were genuinely impressed by the experience. Check-in was quick and welcoming and the front desk made both us and our dog feel completely at home. The hotel was consistently spotless, both the lobby and our room. Breakfast was very good overall, though we would have loved to see a few more fresh fruit options. What truly stood out was the kindness of the staff. We were in town for a visit to the VT Veterinary Hospital and didn’t know when our dog would be discharged. When I asked about a late checkout, the team kindly told us not to worry about it, which meant a great deal to me. Checkout was just as smooth as arrival and the hotel’s location is incredibly convenient. We’re very grateful for the hospitality and would absolutely stay again.

This was definitely one of our favorite hotels we've stayed in. The room set-up is great, and everything functional. The breakfast was always delightful! There is guest laundry, which was easily accessible. However, cleanliness could be improved. The elevators weren't cleaned for at least three weeks. The rooms also need a deep cleaning. There is so much dust on top of those freezers and the dishes had stuff in them, but were in the "clean" area.

Our family had an unexpected long-term stay at Home2 in Blacksburg while our child was receiving medical care nearby, and I can’t express enough gratitude for the kindness, flexibility, and genuine compassion shown by everyone on staff. What started as a short visit quickly turned into weeks away from home, and the team at Home2 made all the difference. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our changing needs — extending our stay without stress and ensuring we had everything we needed to make our situation a little easier. The room was always clean, comfortable, and peaceful — a true haven during an emotionally challenging time. Housekeeping and front desk staff were incredibly respectful and understanding, often checking in to see if we needed fresh linens or just a kind word. The management’s empathy and flexibility were remarkable. They treated us not just as guests, but as people going through something difficult — and that care meant the world to us. We will forever be grateful to Home2 for providing a safe, supportive, and comforting place when we needed it most. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for not just great service, but genuine humanity. I would like to give a special shot out to Blair, Alesha, Heather, Vicky, Colleen, Sandy, and many others for making this a true "Home2" away from home.
