So glad I got the urge to stop in here as it's such a cute shop! Pretty sure they curate it to the seasons as everything was prepped for Easter/spring. Lots of vintage picks, clothing, artist prints and jewelry. If you're looking to buy a gift for yourself or someone else would definitely stop in here for just a look and I guarantee you'll leave with something! The shopkeeper is very warm and friendly as well

I cannot believe it took me 6 months of living here to visit this store! Warning: this review will be absolutely full of exclamation points, because the owner, Kim, is brilliant at finding amazing things of all sorts, from textiles (I mean, do you see those quilts?? And that lovely antique underpinning?!) to housewares to everything in between. It's like walking through the last 200 years of history in these parts, and I can see why she calls her store "part love letter to Appalachia." She has everything from an exquisite wool and silk riding jacket with incredible stitching, to split drawers from the 1800s. Well, she *had* those drawers, until I bought them. 😂 She is an expert and seeking out what is most precious from our locale, and I was shocked again and again at how reasonable her prices are! If you care at all about finding gorgeous clothing that is made so much better than anything you could buy nowadays (I'm looking at you, cottagecore enthusiasts), creatively upcycled outfits, antique kitchen tools and dishes, and the kind of linens your grandmother will hand down to you one day, this is your place!!

Really nice spot with a welcoming feel and some totally unique and tempting merch. There was live music. We bought an american made dress! Support local business and check them out.

There is obviously a lot of care that goes into this shop’s curation (from the vintage items to the local handmade goods). Highly recommended for a unique, whimsical gift or for an afternoon of treasure hunting with your bestie. So excited about my new treasures from Mountain View Mercantile: a golden leaf necklace and a little gnome named Clarence. 🥰
