Been going here for years. Great food for when you’re craving carbs or something simple and tasty. They have specials from time to time which help spice things up, but have a robust late nite menu of cheese and pepperoni pizza. The pizza slides are huge, I’m sure you know this but be prepared to be amazed. The size of the full pizzas are absolutely mammoth. They’re 28” diameter. The box for a full pizzas is so big you may have fun fitting it into your car hahahaha. If it doesn’t fit you need a bigger car! The pizza is quite good.
Apr 18, 2026 · Google ReviewBenny Marzano's Blacksburg, VA Saturday, May 23rd, 2026 ~1-2PM This was a repeat visit for me, but my first time back in a long time. Some of our family was already planning on going, so we decided to tag along—and I’m really glad we did. The atmosphere has that cozy, late-night college pizza place vibe. The inside is honestly pretty small, but since it was cold and raining outside, eating indoors was really the only option for us. The exterior has decent curb appeal in a very casual way—it’s definitely not polished or fancy like a traditional restaurant, but that slightly messy, chaotic energy honestly adds to the charm. Even though it was moderately busy inside, it still felt pretty chill and relatively quiet. The restaurant doesn’t necessarily look spotless, but it also didn’t actually feel dirty. Our table was clean, there wasn’t debris everywhere, and everything seemed perfectly fine—it’s just the kind of busy college pizza place that naturally looks a little worn-in. Ordering is simple: you go up to the counter, place your order, and they call your name shortly after when it’s ready. The staff was really helpful and friendly, especially since we had a somewhat large group and asked a few questions about the specialty slices. Despite the chaos, they answered everything warmly. The food also came out incredibly fast—less than 5 minutes for each of our two separate orders. I ordered one of the Pizza of the Month specialty slices called "The Newport Slice", which came with chorizo, queso, and crispy onions. Honestly, it was delicious. The sauce-to-cheese ratio was perfect for me since I don’t like overly saucy pizza, and the cheese actually stayed in place instead of sliding everywhere. The crust was probably my favorite part: thin, crispy, chewy, and genuinely so good that I ended up eating some of my cousins' leftover crusts because they didn’t want them. The toppings worked really well together too. My only small complaint was that the crispy onions were barely noticeable, but the chorizo had amazing flavor and paired perfectly with everything else. The pizza seemed moderately fresh—not straight out of the oven, but still warm and definitely not stale. Another thing I appreciated was that it honestly wasn’t greasy at all. I also tried a bite of the other specialty slice called the “Hot Lips,” which had cherry peppers, banana peppers, and pineapple, and that was really good too. The value here is honestly one of the best parts. My slice was only $6.50 before tax, and Benny’s slices are huge. For the amount of food you get, I think it’s one of the best value meals around downtown Blacksburg. Overall, this was another really enjoyable experience, and I’d absolutely come back again—especially to try future Pizza of the Month specials. I’d recommend it to students, late-night crowds, or honestly anyone looking for a huge, delicious slice of pizza at a great price. ~~~~~~~ Benny Marzano's Blacksburg, VA Thursday, May 28rd, 2026 ~12-1PM On a more recent visit, we ordered the Newport and Hot Lips slices to-go. The wait ended up being much longer than expected (close to 20 minutes), likely because they were making a fresh pizza while other orders were going out. However, the staff handled it really well. When I politely asked if there was anything they could do about the wait, the employee was extremely kind and apologetic and generously gave me a free bag of chips. Even though the wait was frustrating, I really appreciated how friendly and caring they were about it. For that, I'm boosting my review to 5 stars.

Jun 13, 2026 · Google ReviewThe slices of pizza (3 tried w/our party: cheese; pepperoni; sausage)-were made with an incredibly thin and flaky crust and when dipped in their specialty sauces, it’s a meal on its own. I just kept eating this huge slice as if I was never going to have another chance! The negative is the lack of circulation/AC and cramped dining spaces, especially when wanting to avoid swarms of bugs in their outdoor seating area. Definitely enjoyed the fresh food and the staff recommendations.
Jul 26, 2025 · Google ReviewThe pizza here is great for cheap New York style pizza. The Virginia slice is ginormous and tasty. The inside of the place is kinda rustic and minimalist with some .. petina on everything.. The dude running the counter today needs some type of customer service implant to make him feel like a human. But the food is great as always.
